I want to express my gratitude for the trust you place in our Board and the mission of IMCA. Our strength has always come from our unity, our compassion, and our shared commitment to building a thriving Muslim community in Indianapolis. I want to reaffirm our Board’s commitment to strengthening IMCA for generations to come. Our priorities are very much achievable with your support and participation insha’Allah. We are very grateful to Allah First and IMCA members throughout our nearly forty (40) years of history. We have since been able to offer many services starting with masjid Alfajr, MTI, Al Elm academy, the food pantry, funeral and cemetery services and more. I will highlight our priorities to you as we continue to ask for your participation and support.
- Invest in our youth and build programs that nurture their faith and leadership. We are placing a special focus on our youth. They are not only our future — they are our present. Their growth, confidence, and connection to their faith depend on the environment we create today. Together, we will continue investing in programs, mentorship, and spaces that empower them to lead with knowledge and character.
- Elevate the quality of education across all our offerings. We are working diligently to raise the quality of our educational offerings, ensuring that every child and adult who walks through our doors receives meaningful, enriching learning.
- Protect and enhance our facilities, ensuring they remain safe, welcoming, and worthy of our community. Our masjid, our school, and the facilities that serve as the heart of our gatherings. These spaces must reflect the excellence our faith teaches us.
- Advance financial independence, allowing IMCA to grow with stability and confidence. We are taking important steps toward long‑term financial independence, so IMCA can continue to grow sustainably and serve future generations without uncertainty.
This is a collective effort. Your participation, your ideas, your donations, and your prayers are what make IMCA a true community. May Allah guide us as we move forward together. FUNERAL PARKING GUIDE – Masjid AL-FAJR / IMCA
Assalamu’alaikum,
If you are attending the upcoming funeral at Masjid Al-Fajr (2846 Cold Spring Rd, Indianapolis), please note our new parking logistics to ensure safety and minimize road congestion.
(Please see the attached map for a clear visual guide.)
1. PRIORITY LOT (LOT A – Masjid Main Lot)
This lot is strictly reserved for:
Immediate Family Members
Elderly and Special Needs attendees
Families with young children
2. GENERAL / OVERFLOW PARKING (LOT B – Marian University Lot)
All other attendees are required to park in LOT B (the Marian University Lot), located just north of the masjid.
Driving Directions to Lot B: From the masjid driveway, turn right (North) onto Cold Spring Road. Drive past the adjacent church and turn left into the marked entrance for the Marian University Lot (Lot B).
A short, safe walk back to the masjid is available via the Cold Spring Road sidewalk.
⛔ NO STREET PARKING:
For traffic safety and respect for our neighbors, please DO NOT PARK ON COLD SPRING ROAD. Vehicles violating this may be towed.
Please follow the guidance of our parking volunteers and posted signage. May Allah bless you for your cooperation and consideration for others.

Waqar Habib
With great sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Waqar Habib.
May Allah forgive him, have mercy upon him, elevate his rank, and reunite him with his beloved wife, Khalida Habib, in Jannat al-Firdaus.
He leaves behind his children and their spouses: Dr. Moazzam and Shehla Habib, Ahsan and Farah Habib, and Zarmina and Jamal Jamal; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

“Indeed, we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we shall return.”
With deep sorrow, yet complete faith in the decree of Allah (SWT), we announce the passing of our beloved brother Dennis “Shah” Montgomery.
Brother Dennis graduated from Broad Ripple High School in 1972 and was very active in the African American Broad Ripple Association. He was also a member of Nur-Allah Islamic Center. Born in 1953, he was raised near 2800 N. Guilford Avenue and attended IPS #110. He is survived by his siblings Helen, his twin sister Denise, Raymond, Charles, and John. His brother Lee preceded him in death.
On behalf of the entire Indianapolis Muslim Community Association (IMCA) and Masjid Al-Fajr, we extend our sincere condolences to the Montgomery family, relatives, and loved ones.
